What are the responsibilities and job description for the Continuous Improvement Engineer, Senior position at Solero Technologies, LLC?
The Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for developing strategies focused on improving the efficiency, productivity, and quality of the manufacturing facility. The individual must be capable of identifying key issues and develop sustainable, team driven solutions through his/her leadership skills and lean manufacturing tools.
Assist in production operations to drive improvement in manufacturing efficiencies by utilizing continuous improvement techniques.
Actively lead continuous improvement activities and scrap reduction projects.
Ensure that manufacturing activities (design, processes, process change) incorporate the safety aspect.
Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
Develop comprehensive business cases to support project prioritization and goals.
Identify key and standard performance metrics and perform quantitative analysis to establish objective baseline performance and forecast improvement margins.
Must assist in providing effective training in Lean concepts and process optimization to engineers, maintenance, and production personnel.
Effectively communicate process opportunities, plans for solution, status of improvement implementations, and validation of results across all levels of the organization.
Stay up-to-date in application of process improvement tools and techniques.
Special assignments/projects to be completed as assigned.

Contribute to the development and implementation of site safety and health goals, objectives, rules and procedures; actively participate in a safety engagement team, as well as follow all EHS rules, procedures and policies
Wear PPE when appropriate in designated areas

Communication skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Engineering or Manufacturing/Industrial Technology preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing/production environment.
Strong background and the ability to implement lean production concepts; Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Above average verbal and written communication skills.
