ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be a team player on a small team
- Bring Improvement ideas to the table and implement those improvements
- Apply thermal spray metal coatings (wire and powder) to backing tubes and plates
- Adhere to our safety, quality and traceability systems
- Understand and execute any safety requirements and emergency procedures
- Understand properties and reactions of chemicals within the work area
- Handle and process hazardous waste as required within the work area
- Schedule: this position will train on 1st shift then transition to either 2nd shift. A lucrative shift differential will then be applied to your base pay as soon as assigned to 2nd shift.
QUALIFICATIONS [EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE]
- Experience with spray plasma and wire preferred (will train)
- Must be able to be qualified to wear a respirator (clean shaven requirement)
- Experience reading mechanical drawings, blueprints
- Demonstrate skills in GD&T as well as Shop Math
- Ability to perform metric conversions
- Proficient with power tools and precision measuring instruments
- Good reading, writing and communication skills
- Able to follow all safety and manufacturing procedures
- Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Long periods of standing while tending to machine
- High school diploma or GED (trade or vocational training preferred)
- MUST PASS WITH FAVORABLE RESULTS POST OFFER DRUG SCREEN AND BACKGROUND CHECKS
