About the Role
Solera is seeking a high-performing Area Sales Director (hunter role) to generate new business and exceed monthly revenue targets. You’ll be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and closing new opportunities across your assigned territory.
This role requires strong cold‑calling skills, consistent pipeline generation, and up to 80% travel to meet with decision makers.
What You’ll Do
- Drive aggressive new business prospecting; thrive as a true hunter in the field.
- Use a customer‑focused sales approach to identify client needs and goals.
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, presenting, and closing deals.
- Deliver value‑based selling strategies for Solera/DealerSocket’s software and solutions.
- Collaborate with Solution Advisors and Sales Directors to close high‑value opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with automotive dealerships in your territory.
- Develop external partnerships with automotive consultants, vendors, and OEMs.
- Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
- Track all sales activities in Salesforce.
- Maintain deep understanding of industry trends, dealership operations, and competitors.
- Stay curious and proactive in learning Solera’s products and the automotive ecosystem.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of sales experience (SaaS software experience strongly preferred).
- Proven success in business development and conquest lead generation.
- Strong track record of consistently generating and closing new sales.
- Skilled negotiator, presenter, and communicator.
- Demonstrated “challenger” sales approach.
- High efficiency, strong work ethic, and self‑motivation.
- Ability to build a robust pipeline and drive revenue growth.
- Comfortable collaborating across multiple teams.
- Automotive experience (CRM, DMS, etc.) required.
