The Housekeeping Supervisor supports daily housekeeping and laundry operations while helping oversee cleanliness, organization, and service standards throughout the community. This role assists with team leadership, quality control, and hands-on cleaning to ensure a safe, attractive, and hospitality-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping Operations & Quality
- Support oversight of cleanliness across resident apartments, common areas, and service spaces
- Perform and assist with routine, weekly, and deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled
- Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to standards
- Launder linens and maintain cleanliness of laundry and trash areas
- Ensure supplies, tools, and equipment are clean, stocked, and properly maintained
- Assist with supervising housekeeping team members as needed
- Support performance feedback, onboarding, and training of new team members
- Help prioritize daily assignments and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Maintain resident safety and follow infection control and safety procedures
- Report maintenance concerns and submit work orders as needed
- Protect resident privacy and confidentiality at all times
- Represent the community in a warm, welcoming, and professional manner
- Promote teamwork and excellent customer service in all interactions
- Participate in meetings, in-services, and training as assigned
- Observe safety hazards and take appropriate corrective action
- Perform incidental housekeeping or support tasks as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3–6 months of housekeeping or janitorial experience required
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to safely operate standard cleaning tools and equipment
- Compassionate, dependable, and service-oriented approach
- Ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, standing, and walking throughout the shift
- Ability to work in environments with cleaning chemicals, dust, and varying noise levels
