If you have more experience and are seeking a senior or managerial role, this position is not the right fit.Role OverviewWe are seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 3–4 years of progressive experience to strengthen our accounting and compliance infrastructure. This role will be responsible for core accounting functions, including account reconciliations, preparation and amendment of tax returns, and development of financial statements, while providing strategic financial insights that support operational decisions and ensure Soleeva’s continued adherence to GAAP, tax, and state compliance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of the reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP.Oversee tax preparation and filings for federal, state, and local jurisdictions.Support annual audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.Ensure compliance with California labor, payroll, and prevailing wage regulations in coordination with HR and Operations teams.Develop and refine accounting policies, internal controls, and process efficiencies as the company scales.Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support executive decision-making.Collaborate cross-functionally with project management and operations to align accounting practices with job cost tracking and project performance.Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all financial practices.Participate in system integrations and improvements for ERP and accounting workflows.Qualifications & RequirementsActive CPA license (required).3–4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or corporate finance.Strong command of GAAP, tax compliance, and financial reporting standards.Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with project-based accounting systems.Excellent understanding of tax preparation, financial statement analysis, forecasting, payroll, job costing, and compliance within a multi-project environment.Strong organizational and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail.Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented setting.Preferred AttributesIntegrity and professionalism in every aspect of financial management.Clear, proactive communicator who can translate numbers into actionable insights.Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset.Collaborative and adaptable, comfortable in a dynamic and innovative company culture.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary (commensurate with experience).Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and retirement options.Professional development support, including CPA continuing education.PTO Policy.Company DescriptionSoleeva Energy is a California-based solar technology and installation company dedicated to advancing clean, efficient, and reliable energy solutions.
