Roofing Foreman
Location: Hillsboro, IL
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Roofing Foreman to lead and manage roofing crews on residential and/or commercial projects in southern IL area. This role is hands-on and requires strong leadership, technical roofing knowledge, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead roofing crews on job sites
- Plan daily work activities and ensure projects stay on schedule
- Ensure all work meets company standards, manufacturer specs, and local codes
- Enforce safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Communicate with project managers, homeowners, and inspectors as needed
- Train and mentor crew members
- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
- Manage materials, tools, and job site cleanliness
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of roofing experience, including leadership or foreman experience
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems (shingle, metal, flat, etc. – specify if needed)
- Ability to read work orders and plans
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- OSHA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
