Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing solar energy systems on residential and commercial rooftops and ground-mounted sites. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and safety protocols to ensure efficient and safe installations. The Solar Installer will work closely with project managers and other trades to deliver high-quality solar solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Install solar panels, wiring, and mounting systems on various types of roofs and ground sites using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate system setup.
- Work with high voltage and low voltage electrical components following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Perform fixture installation, roofing work, and electrical wiring as required for system setup.
- Utilize construction site experience to maintain safety standards and ensure proper site preparation
- Troubleshoot electrical issues related to solar systems, ensuring proper functionality before project completion.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including those related to roofing, electrical work, and working at heights.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial electrician work or electrical experience with a focus onsolar related high voltage systems.
- Knowledge of schematics, blueprint reading, NEC regulations, and electrical codes related to solar installations.
- Experience with roofing, fixture installation, construction site operations, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work at heights on roofs or elevated structures safely.
- Construction or general construction experience is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to read technical documents accurately.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy equipment or materials as needed.
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent safety awareness at all times.

Pay: $22.00 - $29.95 per hour
