Job Overview
Solar Savings Direct is seeking a Solar Crew Electrical Foreman to lead our field installation teams with professionalism, precision, and accountability. This role is responsible for overseeing electrical work on residential and commercial solar projects, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and delivering an excellent customer experience. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can guide their crew from start to finish, traveling to job sites, reviewing plans, ensuring proper installation, and closing out projects with the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Arrive on time, ready to lead daily operations and adhere to supervisor-assigned duties
- Review job plans, survey photos, and electrical panels before departure to ensure accuracy
- Ensure job kits, vehicles, and all materials are complete and ready for each project
- Drive the company truck/van to job sites and lead the crew in a professional manner
- Greet customers upon arrival, review the scope of work, and provide daily updates
- Set up the electrical work station near the main panel while ensuring the crew safely sets up the roof
- Install and wire electrical devices such as AC Combiners, Inverters, Sub Panels, AC Disconnects, etc.
- Perform EMT conduit bending and proper wire pulls with precision
- Work in main service panels: land breakers, combine existing circuits, and size breakers/wires appropriately
- Problem-solve plan discrepancies and implement efficient on-site solutions
- Use company CRM, Google Drive, and Gmail for notes, plans, and project photos
- Commission solar systems, complete safety/project checklists, and close out jobs properly
- Run customers through system operation and ensure full power restoration before departure
- Ensure jobsite cleanliness and professional crew conduct at all times
- Provide guidance and assistance to crew members on both electrical and roof portions of the job
Qualifications
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required
- Proven experience as a Solar Electrical Foreman or similar leadership role
- Strong understanding of Solar electrical systems, service panels, wire sizing and breaker amerage
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and make field adjustments when necessary
- Competent with software tools and applications
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Must have personal hand tools required for this role
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
