We are seeking a Solar Design Coordinator to assist with the preparation of site layouts and electrical designs. Candidates must be responsible and productive individuals with high-quality work ethics. Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design of electrical and structural plans for permitting and commissioning at multiple AHJ's.
- Assess and confirm system design, including but not limited to array layout, wire runs and interconnection method.
- Submit drawings for customer review and approval.
- Identify and diligently resolve design issues.
- Track and manage numerous projects by coordinating with multiple jurisdictions to meet requirements.
- Assist with final review of system designs to ensure a high level of accuracy and completion.
- Provide technical direction and customer support during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, and performance monitoring when necessary.
- Research building codes and plan implementation of new system design requirements.
Qualifications:
- Previous solar design and electrical experience highly desirable.
- BS degree in ME or EE or related discipline preferred
- Knowledge of photovoltaic systems, NEC requirements, construction practices
- Tesla/energy storage experience.
- Good knowledge in AutoCAD
- NABCEP certification preferred
- Strong coordination, problem-solving, documentation and data entry skills.
- Extremely detail oriented with strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
