Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Solar Estimator/Solar Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in promoting and facilitating the adoption of solar energy systems. Your expertise will guide clients through the process, from initial consultation to installation.
Key Responsibilities
Client Education and Consultation: Educate potential clients on the environmental and financial benefits of solar energy. Conduct consultations to understand their energy needs, budget constraints, and sustainability goals.
Property Evaluation: Assess residential properties for solar installation suitability, considering factors such as sun exposure, shading, and roof condition.
Customized Solutions: Develop tailored solar energy estimates that meet each client’s unique needs using our solar specific design software. This includes providing comprehensive financial assessments, including ROI calculations, payback periods, and energy cost savings, to demonstrate the economic benefits of solar installations.
Client Relationship Management: Maintain positive and ongoing relationships with clients, addressing questions and concerns, and providing post-installation support.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors’ offerings to provide clients with the most current information.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, business, or a related field (preferred).
1+ years of experience in solar energy, construction, or a related field.
Strong understanding of solar technology, system design, and financial analysis.
Proficiency in solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope) is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site assessments.
