About Us
Solar Fix / Spartan Solar Lighting is a fast-growing solar service and product development company based in San Diego. We design and manufacture high-quality, modern solar panel lighting systems used for commercial, municipal, hospitality, and residential projects. We are expanding our design team and need a talented 3D Rendering Designer to bring our ideas and sketches to life.
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled 3D Rendering Designer who can create high-quality 3D models, concept designs, and photorealistic renderings of our custom solar panel lights. You will work directly with the founder/engineer to turn sketches and reference images into production-ready visual models.
This role is perfect for someone who is creative, detail-oriented, and able to produce clean, modern, realistic-looking designs.
Responsibilities
- Create 3D models and photorealistic renders of custom solar panel lighting products.
- Translate sketches, drawings, and reference images into accurate 3D concepts.
- Make revisions quickly based on feedback (angle changes, height changes, shell modifications, LED placements, pole adjustments, etc.).
- Produce clean visual presentations that can be used for client proposals and manufacturing.
- Work closely with our product development team to refine each design.
- Provide files in appropriate formats (PNG, JPG, STL, OBJ, etc.).
Qualifications
- Proven experience in 3D product rendering (portfolio required).
- Strong skills in 3D software such as Blender, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, KeyShot, SketchUp, or similar.
- Ability to create photorealistic lighting, materials, and environmental scenes (parks, hotels, streets, walkways, etc.).
- Experience designing or rendering lighting fixtures, solar products, or industrial products (preferred but not required).
- Ability to communicate clearly and turn feedback into fast revisions.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity.
