Duties
- Safely install solar panels, mounting systems, inverters, and electrical components on various structures including rooftops and ground-mounted sites.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure precise installation according to specifications.
- Connect high voltage and low voltage electrical systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety protocols.
- Use hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, and construction site machinery such as forklifts to complete installations efficiently.
- Conduct fixture installation, wiring, and electrical connections while adhering to electrical codes and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical issues and perform routine maintenance on installed systems to optimize performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician or in electrical installation within construction or roofing environments.
- Strong knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, schematics, blueprint reading, and NEC standards.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, roofing techniques, plumbing basics, and fixture installation.
- Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment safely on construction sites.
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and experience working at heights on rooftops or elevated structures.
- Electrical experience related to solar power systems is highly preferred; additional certifications are a plus.
