Responsibilities
- Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops and ground-mounted sites, following detailed blueprints and schematics.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to ensure proper system setup.
- Perform wiring of high voltage and low voltage electrical components in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on existing solar installations to optimize performance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, and other construction site tools safely and efficiently during installation and maintenance tasks.
- Assist with inverter installation, electrical connections, and conduit fitting as needed for integrated system setups.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet all safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong understanding of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems with experience in wiring and circuit troubleshooting.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of NEC standards related to solar installations and electrical safety practices.
- Previous experience as a commercial electrician or in construction site environments is highly desirable.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, roofing techniques, and fixture installation methods.
