Solar Energy Solutions (SES) is excited to announce an opening for a Solar Installer in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are seeking dedicated and skilled individuals who have a passion for renewable energy and are eager to contribute to our mission of providing sustainable solar solutions. As a pivotal member of our installation team, you will be responsible for the complete installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems at residential and commercial properties throughout Indianapolis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install solar PV panels, inverters, and battery storage systems on rooftops and ground mounts.
- Assemble and mount racking systems for solar arrays.
- Perform electrical wiring, ensuring compliance with NEC and local building codes.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of solar energy systems.
- Ensure safety protocols and best practices are followed on site.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, customer interactions, and project timelines.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in solar energy or related field preferred.
- Experience in solar installation or related construction/trade work is a plus.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of electrical systems and safety standards.
- Current OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
- Desire to pursue further certifications in solar technology is encouraged.
