Position Summary:
Solar Experience is preferred for this position.
The Service Administrator is responsible for ensuring clear, consistent, and professional communication with service customers throughout the entire service engagement lifecycle. This position plays a critical role in supporting the Service Department by managing administrative functions, coordinating technician schedules, and maintaining a high standard of customer care.
This is a hybrid position with a minimum of 3 days required in our Millersville office.
Main Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for service customers, handling incoming calls, documenting intake information, and maintaining accurate records of all interactions.
- Coordinate and dispatch technicians to service appointments, ensuring schedules are managed efficiently.
- Process billing for completed services and oversee collections follow-ups as required.
- Track all stages of customer engagement, proactively addressing inquiries, concerns, and service-related issues.
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline service operations and enhance overall customer experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, communications, and service delivery.
- Develop a working knowledge of solar technology and troubleshooting in order to effectively support customer and technician needs.
- Adapt to the evolving requirements of the Service Department with a solutions-oriented and proactive approach.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; advanced degree preferred
- Experience in a customer service role
- Demonstrated experience in billing and accounts receivable
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with proven attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical aptitude or willingness to learn solar system operations and troubleshooting concepts.
- Experience in billing, collections, and dispatching is preferred.
