Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and support in home and community settings
- Assist with daily living activities (e.g., hygiene, meal preparation, light housekeeping) while promoting dignity and independence
- Support life skills development, including communication, socialization, and community integration
- Assist with community outings such as shopping, appointments, and recreational activities
- Follow individualized support plans and guidelines tailored to each client
- Monitor overall well-being and report any concerns to the appropriate team members
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment
- Document services and daily activities as required
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality of all client information
Skills & Qualifications
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Background in ABA, caregiving, or human services is a plus
- Ability to support individuals with varying levels of independence
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
- Ability to safely assist with mobility as needed
Requirements (APD Compliance)
- High school diploma or GED
- Level 2 Background Screening (or willingness to obtain)
- Completion of required trainings (Direct Care Core Competency, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to complete all onboarding documentation
Schedule
- Flexible scheduling based on client needs
- Afternoons, evenings, and weekends may be required
- Part-time / PRN with opportunity for growth
Pay
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
- Opportunities for raises and advancement
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $26.37 per hour
