Are you a peer support specialist who can work flexible hours?
The peer support should be able to drive the company van to take patients to and from groups, NA/AA meetings, church, food panty, clothes panty, grogecy store, and other sober events in the community. This is a community position and will rarely be in the office.
The hours needed are 730 am-430 pm with an hour lunch break. The weekend schedule is Every other weekend. There may be two late days during the week to take patients to NA/AA meetings. Every other weekend is negotiable.
This position requires compassionate and knowledgeable individual who is comfortable working with male patients that may have substance abuse or stable mental health issues.
Duties
- Facilitate communication between clients and the manager
- Keep strict boundaries with clients
- Complete individual daily with all patients and peer group outings as much as possible, with a minimum of weekly grocery store runs and 1-2 NA/AA or church meetings weekly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and above the age of 21.
- Peer support certification
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health disorders.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
