Job Summary
Join our friendly and energetic team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep! In this role, you will be the backbone of our culinary operations, ensuring a clean, organized kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help maintain smooth kitchen workflows, support food safety standards, and contribute to a vibrant hospitality atmosphere. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable restaurant, experience in a refined, professional setting. Currently, our entire roster of cooks started at dishwashers in our kitchen, and this is the easiest way to enter our kitchen roster working under our award-winning chef and owner, who is regularly voted “Best Boss” and “Favorite Chef“ in local awards.
Duties
- Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including counters, sinks, and storage spaces
- Follow food handling safety procedures diligently to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Assist in inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
- Strong attention to detail in cleaning, food prep, and organization
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations
