Description
Sol Toro is a lively Mexican cantina located in the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut. Our menu features innovative twists on Mexican classics. We have a deep lineup of tacos, including a few "off-menu" favorites for true fans. Our tequila offering is extensive, including Cincoro, a premium tequila created by basketball legend Michael Jordan, our business partner. Table-side guacamole and a big "No Bull" sign are just a few of the elements that bring energy to the Sol Toro experience.
Cart Attendant Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh guacamole and margaritas tableside according to Sol Toro recipes and guest preferences.
- Deliver an engaging, welcoming, and professional guest experience while preparing table-side items.
- Provide responsible alcohol service to guests and adhere to all Connecticut liquor laws and service guidelines.
- Explain ingredients, answer menu questions, and provide recommendations.
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation standards.
- Set up, stock, clean, and break down the guacamole and margarita carts each shift.
- Proactively inquire about food allergies or dietary restrictions prior to preparation. Prepare and modify items in accordance with allergen guidelines and established restaurant allergy procedures.
- Communicate allergy-related requests to management and team members as required.
- Safely maneuver the cart throughout the dining room.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing cart at all times.
- Support dining room operations by polishing glassware, rolling silverware, maintaining prep areas, and assisting with cleaning tasks.
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service.

Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High school education or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to deal with guests in a professional manner while maintaining a composed demeanor in high stress situations
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis
- Frequent long periods of standing and walking are expected during the workday
- Ability to reach for objects and stoop or bend as needed to perform job duties
- This position may involve visual and auditory tasks, including the ability to see and hear adequately to perform job functions
