POSITION SUMMARY
The Post-Production Manufacturing Associate is a flexible, cross-functional role on the Sol Canna production floor. On any given day, this associate may be assigned to bucking, hand or machine trimming, running the trim machine, or packaging finished product — wherever the day's production schedule and priorities require. The role keeps flower moving from harvest through finished, compliant product in a fast-paced environment.
Associates are expected to move between stations as needed, learn multiple post-harvest functions, and consistently meet Sol Canna's quality and cleanliness standards while complying with all Illinois regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assignments rotate based on daily production needs and may include any combination of the following:
- Buck dried and cured cannabis flower from stalk, and sort by size and quality grade• Hand-trim and machine-trim flower to Sol Canna quality and appearance standards• Set up, operate, monitor, and clean the trim machine and other post-production equipment• Weigh, portion, and package finished flower and flower products into compliant retail and bulk packaging• Assemble, fill, and package pre-rolls and other finished goods as scheduled• Inspect product for quality, consistency, foreign material, and contaminants at every stage• Accurately label and weight-verify finished products per Illinois requirements• Record production output, yields, and waste in the seed-to-sale tracking system (METRC)• Track daily output and report any discrepancies or variances to supervisors• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workspace and equipment throughout the shift• Follow all Sol Canna SOPs, sanitation practices, and safety guidelines• Adhere to all local and Illinois state cannabis regulations• Assist with inventory management, material movement, and supply restocking• Collaborate with team members to meet daily and weekly production goals• Report equipment issues or product inconsistencies to supervisors promptly• Cross-train across post-production stations and flex between them as directed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 21 years or older• High school diploma or equivalent required• Previous experience in cannabis post-harvest, manufacturing, or assembly-line work is a plus• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity• Comfortable working with scales and precise weight/measurement• Willingness and ability to rotate between bucking, trimming, machine operation, and packaging• Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, repetitive environment• Basic math and measurement skills• Must be able to pass any background check required by state or local cannabis regulations• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if needed
