Purpose:
Responsible for the aviation operations in selected locations within the
Caribbean & South America areas. Includes functional guidance to affiliates
and management of the airport operations areas under Supervision.
Principal
Accountabilities:
- Stewardship of affiliate aviation operations, control, and product quality
- per all applicable Sol Aviation, Shell, and JIG operating procedures and
- policies.
- Develop effective management of the airport and local marine terminal
- visit plans, providing adequate coaching and Supervision to Airport
- Supervisors and other related personnel.
- Implementing aviation operational standards and industry best practices
- with HSE, Product Quality programs, and cost efficiency.
- Monitoring the implementation of control programs (Assets/Cash
- handling/Oil Loss/Payment process).
- Assist in evaluating and coordinating the implementation of capital
- investment projects.
- Evaluation/implementation of operational efficiencies and new
- technologies.
- Represent the company's interests before the Joint Operations
- Committees, where applicable.
- Review and negotiate contracts, supply agreements, operator
- agreements, and acquisition-related with the airport and government
- authorities.
- Develop the regional strategy of the Aviation Department in conjunction
- with GM/ /RM.
- Participate in any other specific matters and special projects related to
- the position.
- Support marine terminals' product clearance and tank releases while
- ensuring compliance with required quality control and specification
- standards.
- Monitor stocks and SOD for markets under his responsibility and engages
- with the Supply Department as required to ensure safe, on-spec, and
- reliable supply.
- Prepare, develop, and execute Budget for the assigned area with a
- primary focus on Opex, Other Income, Training, and Capex-related
- projects/purchases.
- Interact with various departments to ensure cross-functional efficiencies:
- In-country Operations and GMs, Infrastructure & Engineering,
- Procurement, Finance, People & Culture, and Sol Aviation Sales Team as
- required.
- Participate as required in industry forums (IATA, ALTA, JIG, and Other
- technical seminars) while always representing Sol at its highest standard.
- Responsible to monitor JO accounts and volume performance, for the
preparation and presentation of financial results at JO Meetings.
- Lead the operational side of discussion with international entities (JIG /
- Shell / IATA).
- Any other duties compatible with the post level may be assigned from
- time to time.

Qualification Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related discipline from an
- accredited school
- Minimum five (5) years, ten (10) years' is a plus of relevant experience in an operations or engineering environment with overall broad operations
- management knowledge (refining, supply & distribution or aviation fuels
- operations experience).
- Previous work experience in manpower, operation integrity management, product quality, cost, control, and joint venture management.

- standards, and government regulations related to the industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills can direct and coordinate with others.
- Enthusiastic, responsive to client concerns and requests, and committed to providing high-quality service to internal clients.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and manage remotely.
- Prepared to travel within the region on Group business,
- Fluent in English, both written and oral.
- Fluency in Spanish would be an asset.
Other Information:
In addition to basic salary the successful applicant shall receive applicable job grade allowances and be eligible to participate in The Sol Group Pension Scheme and its non-contributory Group Health and Life Insurance Scheme.
Travel will be required.
