What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Finance Assistant position at Sojitz Corporation of America?
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for daily cash management, trade finance, group finance, and related information management. Prepare various internal and external reports, including internal approval process. Manage various bank account registration and online bank maintenance. In-person work at the assigned office location is a regular component of this role’s responsibilities.
CASH MANAGEMENT
- Process manual and automated outgoing payments.
- Manage A/R incoming journaling via our ERP (SAP) system.
- Manage and execute FOREX Purchase/Sales contract.
- Maintain daily/monthly cash flow forecast.
- Handle and manage financing activities (e.g. borrowing/repayment, interest payment, A/R securitization, etc).
- Manage bank reconciliation.
TRADE FINANCE
- Handle and manage trade finance activities (e.g. Import/Export Letter of Credit, Bond/Standby LC, A/R securitization, etc).
- Provide necessary support/advice to business team regarding trade finance.
GROUP FINANCE
- Set up and coordinate group finance (e.g. term loan and cash pooling) including leading internal/external legal documentation with related parties (e.g. in-house legal team, business departments, banks, etc) and handling internal approval process.
- Manage loan receivable and loan payable, including interests.
INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
- Advise and confirm vendor banking information registration.
- Manage closing and report necessary information to accounting department.
- Prepare quarterly reports to HQ (e.g. banking report, guarantee report, etc)
- Upload necessary information to an internal system (e.g. FX rate, internal interest rate, etc)
- Provide necessary information/documents to banks.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in the cash management field
- Knowledge of general finance/cash management principles/banking
- Knowledge of general accounting/bookkeeping principles
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner
- Organizational and time management skills
- Detailed orientated
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work within established procedures and practices
- Bachelor’s degree in finance
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS PREFFERED:
- Knowledge of trade finance banking standards (UCP 600 & ISP 98)
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
