What does the job consist?
As a Data Officer Intern, you will play a key role in the company's data governance and management. You will help structure, harmonize, and leverage data to ensure consistency and accessibility across various departments. Your missions will include:
Data Cataloging: You will contribute to defining and populating a data catalog that centralizes company data definitions and usages. You will ensure the quality and continuous enrichment of this catalog using the Data Galaxy tool.
Training & Support: Using a collaborative approach, you will design training materials and organize awareness sessions (via workshops and e-learning) to help employees better understand and utilize data. You will become the point of contact for Data Galaxy and assist teams in adopting the platform.
Analytics & KPIs: You will establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track data governance progress. You will manipulate and structure data to provide relevant analyses to teams and optimize data exploitation.
Project Management: You will lead "Data" projects from the definition phase through to implementation within Soitec’s Information Systems (IS).
Requirements & qualifications
You are a student pursuing a Master’s degree or an Engineering degree with a curriculum focused on data, and you are looking for an apprenticeship (work-study) for a duration of one or two years.
You are comfortable with data manipulation and analysis. You have a strong interest in data governance and wish to develop your expertise in Data Management.
Your English skills (written and oral) allow you to work effectively in an international environment.
You are methodical, rigorous, eager to understand business processes, and enjoy teamwork.
Your ability to simplify complex concepts and your ease in leading training sessions will be major assets.
Bonus: Prior experience with Data Galaxy or a similar data lineage/cataloging tool is a plus.
