What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Preschool Teacher position at Soille San Diego Hebrew Day School?
SDHDS Preschool is seeking an experienced, loving energetic TK teaching assistant. Our school values collaboration, support, respect and family. Our program focuses on allowing children to learn through discovery and creativity. We work to foster emotional and social skills through strong communication, nurturing and fun!
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of one year teaching experience in an early childhood classroom.
- Minimum of 6 ECE units
- Must be able to help implement curriculum/projects that are developmentally appropriate
- Ability to work well in a team teaching environment
- Dedication to the field of early childhood education with a genuine love for children
- Good communication skills
- Energetic and able to stand for long periods
- Dependable and enthusiastic
- Able to lift 30 lbs.
- Able to sit on floor for extended periods of time
- Willingness to change diapers, feed and clean up after children 0-5 years of age
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Livescan, background clearance, Measles /Whopping Cough vaccinations, and TB test
• Transcripts
Work Schedule: This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position, with the possibility of additional hours.
