Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our production and yard operations team in Dallas, TX. This role involves operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, screeners, grinders, and shredders to process, move and load organic materials and other materials. The ideal candidate will have solid experience on one or more of these machines, and be mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a variety of heavy equipment (loaders, excavators, grinders, screeners, etc.)
• Load and unload materials for production, transport, and customer orders
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Perform daily pre-trip and post trip inspections and other production oriented record keeping
• Perform basic equipment maintenance & upkeep
• Communicate effectively with Leadership and team members
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Assist with other yard or production duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of experience operating heavy equipment (NOT Forklifts or Skidsteers)
• Working knowledge of safety standards and equipment maintenance practices
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately report on production output
• Must have a dependable work ethic and reliable transportation
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• English required / Spanish a plus

Schedule:

• Full time, overtime likely
• Day shift (night shift also available)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
