Junior AV Manager - Soho House New York

Scope of the Job

At Soho House, the Junior Audio Visual (AV) Manager plays an integral part of ensuring member, guest and staff have technically sound and functioning property. As the Junior AV Manager, you are responsible for the technical troubleshooting and support of Member Events, Private Hire Events and Cinema Screenings.

A successful Junior AV Manager is cool-headed, self-motivated, can think quickly on their feet and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role embodies an unconventional workday and requires nights, and weekends to support screenings and large-scale events. Main Duties...

• Daily support for audio, visual, IT related troubleshooting and partnering with the events team to ensure lighting, sound, music and all other variables are set-up, secured and prepared prior to guests’ arrival
• Respond to guest’s needs in a timely matter and quickly provide solution or alternative option that can enhance one’s experience
• Maintain safe standards, in addition to a clean, organized, and stocked work area and consistent high-quality service throughout the property
• Monitor in-house equipment and usage as well the presentation, preparation and repair.
• Liaising with in-house couriers, print managers and keep up with technical developments in relation to multi-media equipment, systems, etc. and technical training opportunities.
• Liase with Member and Private Event Clients as looped in ahead of time to ensure AV questions are answered in a timely manner and the events teams are communicated up to date information to reflect in Banquet Event Orders (BEO) changes, comments, timing and pricing adjustments.
• Performs all other duties assigned by Supervisor/Manager
  
  

Required Skills/Qualifications

• 1 years related experience or related Degree preferred.
• Detail oriented and ability to multitask, under pressure and trouble shoot quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Experienced with AV lighting, sound, electronic, repair, installation of AV equipment and adhere to local process
• Flexible schedule to work night and weekends as needed
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of all aspects of all building Multi-media (including sound systems, DJ decks, mixing board & consoles, phone systems and IPTV infrastructures) equipment and technical specifications.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
• Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
• Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.
• Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 40 pounds.
• Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.

In accordance with New York law, the salary range for this role if filled within New York is listed below. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Pay Range

$66,300—$66,300 USD
