Soho Construction is a residential design-build firm based in Solana Beach, focused on delivering high-end remodels and custom new construction in San Diego's coastal cities. As our project load grows, we’re expanding our in-house architecture team and looking for a talented Architect to help shape and guide beautiful homes from concept to completion.

Position Overview

We’re seeking a creative, technically skilled Architect with residential experience to support and lead architectural design on remodels and ground-up projects. You'll collaborate with clients, our in-house construction team, interior designers, and consultants to bring exceptional homes to life.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist in the design and documentation of residential remodels and new builds
• Create conceptual designs, plans, elevations, and construction documents
• Prepare permit sets and coordinate submittals with local jurisdictions
• Collaborate with interior designers, structural engineers, consultants, and our field team
• Participate in client meetings, site visits, and construction reviews
• Manage project timelines and deliverables with a high attention to detail
• Stay up to date on local codes, energy requirements, and zoning standards (especially coastal overlays and hillside constraints)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
• 3 years of professional residential architecture experience (California preferred)
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience producing full construction document sets and navigating local permitting
• Strong design sensibility with an eye for detail and craftsmanship
• Comfortable working independently and in a collaborative, fast-paced setting
• Knowledge of San Diego County codes and coastal permitting is a major plus
• Licensure is required for this position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
