POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide array of infrastructure maintenance including finish carpentry, painting, floors, roofs, screens, ceilings, doors and fixtures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be able to operate all necessary equipment and tools in order to successfully complete job requirements.
- Ensures compliance to all applicable federal, state, customer and company safety, food safety, and standard operating practices.
- Performs maintenance and sustainment of systems and equipment noted in the job description.
- The duties and responsibilities of this position may be changed as needed to meet company requirements.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Previous framing carpentry and painting skills.
- Able to read and write English.
- Must be able distinguish (by sight, sound, touch, or other senses) whether his/her machine is operating correctly or is in a proper state of repair.
- Able to work in extreme temperatures and wet/humid environments.
- Flexible to work extended hours and weekends or after hours when called by monitoring systems.
- Team oriented.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and steam handling equipment, in wet processing areas with damp floors, and occasionally in outside weather conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (80-90 decibels). The manufacturing area is not climate controlled, and temperatures vary from 50 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit depending on outside conditions.
