The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about robotics, automation, and safety-critical systems.
What you will do at Sogeti:
- Create and manage CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings for automated equipment and robotic systems
- Develop and maintain detailed fabrication drawings including GD&T, welding symbols, and sheet metal specifications
- Collaborate with product owners and engineering teams to define system requirements and support design integration activities
- Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering revisions, and documentation updates across multiple projects
- Support prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of mechanical components and assemblies
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, safety, and performance
- Provide technical support for assembly documentation, maintenance guides, and continuous improvement initiatives
What you will bring:
- 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, robotics, automotive, automation, or related industries
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as Onshape, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar modeling software
- Experience creating mechanical drawings, assemblies, BOMs, and applying GD&T principles
- Basic understanding of manufacturing methods, sheet metal design, welding processes, and mechanical systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and product teams
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
