Sofun is a warm, modern Chinese restaurant in Summit, NJ, serving bold Hunan flavors, rice noodles, dim sum, and dishes made with heart. We are looking for a part-time Hostess / Server to join our team and help create a welcoming, organized, and attentive dining experience for our guests.
This role is primarily for weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), though schedules may be adjusted based on business needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Present menus and assist guests with basic questions about food and drinks
- Take orders accurately and communicate clearly with the kitchen and team
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
- Check in on guests during service and respond promptly to guest needs
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area
- Complete side work carefully and consistently before, during, and after shifts
- Support teammates to ensure smooth and efficient service during busy hours
- Handle guest concerns politely and communicate issues to management when needed
