Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is searching for a Network Infrastructure Engineer (CampWAN/Security) for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in lower Manhattan, NYC.
Hybrid: 3-4 days/week onsite
Position Overview
This role sits within the bank's Global Technology Enterprise Platform - Global Network Engineering organization, which is responsible for delivering a highly available, resilient, and secure global network under the "One Network, One Bank" strategy.
The Network Infrastructure Engineer will play a key role in engineering, deployment, and operational support of US network services, with a strong focus on network segmentation, WAN connectivity, and campus infrastructure.
This individual will serve as a hands-on engineer supporting a major US data center relocation and NYC campus buildout, with exposure across Wi-Fi, LAN, WAN, Voice, and network security technologies. The role blends project-based delivery and day-to-day operational support in a highly regulated financial services environment.

This individual will serve as a hands-on engineer supporting a major US data center relocation and NYC campus buildout, with exposure across Wi-Fi, LAN, WAN, Voice, and network security technologies. The role blends project-based delivery and day-to-day operational support in a highly regulated financial services environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize enterprise Wi-Fi and campus network solutions (NYC site buildout)
- Engineer and support LAN infrastructure, including VLAN design, switching, and office integrations
- Support WAN engineering and migrations between US offices and data centers (routing, failover, QoS, bandwidth optimization)
- Implement and maintain network segmentation and WAN ACL strategies (geo-segmentation, list/list models)
- Provide hands-on configuration and deployment support during network buildouts and migrations
- Partner with data center build teams to support infrastructure rollout and integration
- Participate in production cutovers, after-hours deployments, and change windows
- Maintain network documentation and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and segmentation frameworks
- Collaborate with global teams (US, Canada, international) to ensure consistency and compliance
- Support incident response and operational troubleshooting across network environments
- Ensure all work aligns with audit, risk, and regulatory requirements
- 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering
- Strong experience with:
- LAN/WAN technologies
- Wi-Fi / campus networking
- Routing, switching, VLANs
- Experience with network segmentation and security controls (ACLs, geo-segmentation)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies and/or Fortinet (FortiOS)
- Solid understanding of:
- DNS / DHCP / IPAM
- IP services and access control models
- Experience supporting WAN migrations and data center connectivity
- Knowledge of VoIP / IP telephony and voice network integration
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities in complex environments
- Experience working in large enterprise and/or regulated environments (financial services preferred)
- Strong communication skills with ability to work across technical and business stakeholders
- Highly regulated industry and large enterprise environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Cisco certifications ( CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) strongly preferred
- Experience supporting large-scale network transformations or relocations
- Exposure to global network environments and cross-region coordination
- Familiarity with compliance-driven environments and audit processes
