Database Administrator: (SQL Server + Oracle) | Lutz, Tampa, and Brandon, FL

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Database Administrator (SQL Server Oracle) for a contract assignment with one of our premier Utility Services clients in Tampa (will require split time between Lutz, Tampa, and Brandon, FL since there are co-located teams).

Client will reimburse travel expenses from location to location.

Must have experience supporting SQL Server and Oracle and have experience/exposure to Cloud Technologies (Azure or AWS).

Responsibilities :

Participate as a Database Administrator as part of a team of five DBA's and several contract DBA's supporting the enterprise wide database landscape . Be involved in database projects and operational support.

• Will assist project teams in choosing appropriate Database Architectures that fit the business requirements while aligning with IT Standards and Procedures.
• Will be responsible for creating reference architectures for the IT and business teams to review and approve. In addition, a need to document changes to the environment and communicate effectively with the database team is vitally important.
• Will be working with the IT Database team in database creation of a database Cloud strategy and migration from on -prem to the cloud where advantageous.
• Will be interacting with in house developers and end users as well as other contract resources.
• Responsible for building new or modifying existing database systems by producing the prescribed deliverables
• Responsible for Developing and implementing database cloud strategy
• Responsible for migration from local backups to NetBackup as part of a DBA team goal.
• Work with Technical business teams and integrators as part of the ADI portfolio initiative
• Mentor DBA team members
• May be asked to work on-call hours

• Experience required: average 10 years
• Strong documentation, communication and critical thinking skills are required.
• Strong communication skills. Ability to document and follow technical documentation.
