Role: SAP BODS & HANA Developer

Key Responsibilities

SAP BODS Development

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs to extract, transform, and load data from various source systems into SAP HANA.

Performance & Optimization

• Optimize BODS dataflows and HANA data models for maximum performance and scalability.
• Perform performance tuning, memory optimization, delta load configuration, caching, and related enhancements.

Data Modeling

• Develop and maintain complex SAP HANA data models, including Attribute Views, Analytic Views, and Calculation Views.

Data Quality & Cleansing

• Implement data cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and error-handling processes to ensure high-quality, accurate data.

Technical Documentation

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all ETL processes, workflows, data models, and solution architecture.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and testing teams to understand requirements and provide technical support.

Troubleshooting

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues related to BODS jobs, HANA performance, and integration processes.

Project Lifecycle

• Participate in end-to-end project activities including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.

Required Skills & Experience

SAP BODS

• 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP BODS development
• Expertise in designing complex ETL jobs, dataflows, and workflows

SAP HANA

• 6 years of experience in SAP HANA data modeling
• Strong SQL scripting, stored procedures, and performance tuning expertise

HANA Development Tools

• Experience with SAP HANA Studio, Web IDE, and HANA XS (Classic/Advanced)

Integration Experience

• Exposure to SAP and non-SAP integration scenarios
• Experience integrating with cloud platforms
• Familiarity with IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs

Data Migration

• Proven experience delivering full life-cycle data migration projects

ETL & Data Warehousing

• Strong understanding of ETL principles, data warehousing methodologies, and migration strategies

Other Technologies

• Familiarity with data provisioning tools such as SDI, SDA, and SLT

Soft Skills

• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and collaboration mindset
