Position: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC

Duration: Full-time & direct hire

Job Responsibilities:

• Electrical engineer with 12 years' experience in electrical, lighting, and fire alarm design of commercial buildings.
• We will talk with some candidates who have slightly less experience.
• Pay range will vary depending on experience and capabilities.
• This position will involve design of building electrical systems, QA/QC of drawings, mentorship of junior electrical staff, and project management.
• Professional engineer designation is required.
• Proficient/experienced in using/applying AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience in design of telecommunications and data communications technology is a plus.
• RCDD certification is an additional plus.
• RCDD=Registered Communications Distribution Designer.
• An additional characteristic we look for is the length(s) of previous engagements.
• To us, multiple short-term engagements are indicators of possible inability to get along well with others and/or failure to provide quality work that employers require.
• We look for people who show the ability to stay with firms for extended periods of time, as it is an indicator of their likelihood to stay with us.
• The majority of the candidate’s experience must be working in an engineering office in the United States that designs MEP systems for buildings, with the typical clients being architects.
