Structural Engineer

Description

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and project managers, to integrate structural design seamlessly into overall systems development.

• Conduct detailed structural analysis and design for integrating process equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications. Primary scopes would be structural steel supports, structures, and platforms; as well as steelreinforced concrete foundations, vaults, and pits.

• Utilize advanced engineering software and tools to perform both timely concept evaluations as well as accurate complex final design analysis.

• Prepare comprehensive construction drawings, specifications, documentation, budget estimates, and firm price bids for internal and external stakeholders.

• Perform site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and ensure proper installation and integration of the GK Systems layout.

• Stay abreast of industry advancements, codes, and standards to contribute to the continuous improvement of our structural engineering practices.

• Effectively communicate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to address project requirements and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one US state, NCEES record preferred.

• 10 years of hands-on experience in structural engineering including steel and concrete, with a specialization in heavy industrial equipment.

• Proficiency in utilizing standard CAD software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Inventor, as well as cutting-edge structural analysis/design software such as ANSYS, Staad Pro, etc..

• Expert knowledge of industry-specific codes, standards, and regulations.

• Impeccable problem-solving skills and an unwavering attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, embodying GK Systems commitment to precision in conveying technical information.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
