We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Patient Coordinator to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, answer multi-line phone systems, and provide exceptional patient service with professional phone etiquette and clear communication.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using the Dentrix dental office management software , ensuring optimal clinic flow.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and other private plans.
- Manage patient intake processes, including collecting medical history forms, updating electronic health records (EHR systems), and reviewing documentation for accuracy.
- Maintain accurate dental and medical records by filing paper documents and updating electronic files in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with insurance claims processing by understanding CPT coding, and dental billing procedures to ensure timely reimbursements.
- Support clinic administrative functions such as data entry using Microsoft Office tools, dental coding review, and appointment reminders to enhance operational efficiency.
Skills
- Proven experience in dental front desk operations with strong knowledge of dental terminology and dental administrative support.
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix.
- Ability to handle insurance verification processes accurately and efficiently while understanding CPT coding, and Medicare requirements.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and multi-line phone system proficiency.
- Strong computer skills including typing (10 key typing), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and health information management software.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient confidentiality and secure handling of medical records.
