Soft Landing Coffee Company is a new community-focused coffee shop opening soon at 227 Kingsley Rd (formerly Cupola Coffee and The Archive) and we're looking for passionate baristas to join our founding team

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages with precision and care.
• Operate POS system to process sales efficiently and accurately.
• Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their experience and encourage repeat visits.
• Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and basic math calculations for transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by properly handling food, beverages, and supplies.
• Assist with food preparation and food service tasks to support overall café operations.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.

Requirements

• Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for coffee culture is essential.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy.
• Commitment to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends as needed.
