Genetics Implementation Specialists Level 1: This is a great entry level opportunity for any graduates with a bachelor’s degree in biological science field, and at least 18 months of clinical laboratory experience, and experience with high complexity testing.

Use your knowledge and experience to optimize clients’ future laboratory workflows utilizing our suite of software products. 

Implementers work with our clients to configuration our software based on user requirements and an understanding of business systems and industry requirements. This position may also support product development activities.

1. Assess a client’s current state workflow and establish the future state workflow utilizing SCC’s various software solutions.  
2. Partner with clients and business leaders to ensure that the scope and dependencies of file build design and any gaps are identified and documented.
3. Configure and document client software according to agreed-upon workflows.
4. Travel to client sites to perform implementation activities as needed.
5. Provide client training including System Configuration Training, Super User Training, and any other project specific training as needed. 
6. Assist clients with validation of configured software.
7. Support clients during the go-live process and transition to production support.

Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Cytotechnology, Histotechnology, 

The candidate will have at least two years of experience in domains such as laboratory, cytogenetics, molecular genetics, flow cytometry, biochemistry, immunogenetics, cytology or histology/pathology. 

Experience in clinical diagnostic laboratories preferred with proficiency in genetics or pathology theory and laboratory practice, specimen preparation and processing.

Experience in the usage, file building, and trouble shooting of a laboratory information system (LIS) is preferred.

• Strong technical, non-technical, spoken, and written communication skills to work with a wide array of business users including medical end users and software developers.

• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and as a team player.

• Knowledge of both project management and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
