Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate purchasing terms with suppliers to meet internal stakeholder expectations and cost objectives.
- Manage procurement for assigned categories based on technical specifications and business needs.
- Support the development of economies of scale and supplier relationship optimization.
- Participate in the supplier selection and evaluation process.
- Monitor supplier compliance with company and operational requirements.
- Implement purchasing best practices to drive efficiency and consistency.
- Collaborate with the Sofidel America Purchasing Department and cross-functional teams to ensure effective purchasing operations.
- Promote and uphold Sofidel’s safety-first culture across all processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management preferred, or a related field (or equivalent business experience).
- 1 years of purchasing experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Highly organized and capable of multitasking and working independently.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
- Strong customer service orientation (internal and external).
