Position Overview:
As a member of the on-site team, this individual is responsible for providing support to instructors during delivery of course content. They will also assist students with questions and their overall classroom experience. The responsibilities include setting up the campus and classrooms for the day, maintaining refreshments, managing the attendance record for classes, and partnering with fellow Classroom Managers to ensure student satisfaction. This position will provide a friendly and welcoming presence for faculty, staff, and students, and provide the support and assistance they need. This position will be expected to be responsive and communicate with direct supervisor in a professional and timely manner. They will provide support for weekend on-site classes and coverage for Sofia events as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Assist and support Instructors of Record at the Palo Alto or Costa Mesa campus.
- Provide weekend support as per the on-site classroom coverage schedule.
- Be available for coverage of Classroom Manager shifts, as needed.
- Provide requested support to other Sofia functions, including but not limited to, intensives, seminars, orientations, commencements, and evaluations.
- Assist and support students, as requested, and encourage student engagement.
- Monitor, observe, and provide feedback of participants as requested.
- Coordinate sound checks with other campus and assist in technology troubleshooting for streaming courses.
- Set out refreshments and coffee as needed.
- Track attendance sheet and ensure that students are signing in and out accurately.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Availability: Saturday and Sunday
- Motivated self-starter with problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot computer and tech issues.
- Ability to interface with varied members of the Sofia community and maintain professional, friendly, and cooperative demeanor.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to be proactive, work under minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of or the ability to gain knowledge of Sofia University policies, regulations, processes, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and in the use of Zoom/Microsoft Teams technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience with higher education and customer service.
- Ethical commitment and ability to align with Sofia’s values and mission.
- Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team, in a diverse and inclusive culture and effectively collaborate with all Departments across the University.
