About the Role
Soerens Ford of Brookfield is seeking an experienced and driven Used Car Manager to lead our pre-owned vehicle operation. This is a hands-on leadership role with direct impact on inventory, profitability, and team performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of used vehicle inventory, including appraising, reconditioning, wholesaling, merchandising, and negotiating sales in partnership with the sales team.
- Source vehicles through Facebook Marketplace, private party listings, auctions, trade-in opportunities, and daily service department appointments.
- Post and maintain used vehicle inventory listings on the dealership website.
- Train and mentor sales staff on proper retailing techniques and best practices.
- Finalize purchasing transactions and ensure accurate paperwork completion.
- Drive consistent achievement of unit sales volume goals through personal engagement and balanced inventory management.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales and profit objectives.
- Develop, monitor, and report on monthly and annual performance goals.
- Prepare regularly scheduled reports and handle all related information with confidentiality.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Prior experience in used vehicle wholesaling, purchasing, and reconditioning.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills — with customers, staff, and vendors alike.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and general computer systems.
- High attention to detail and sound problem-solving skills.
- Unwavering ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
- Clean background.
