At SodStar, we're seeking a skilled Farm Mechanic to join our team at our Soperton, GA location. As a key member of our operations, you'll be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our farm equipment, ensuring it runs efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the shop, truck, and field
- Inventory company tools and resources
- Assist Farm Management with purchasing repair parts and maintaining inventory of replacement supplies
- Execute equipment repair and maintenance work, communicating timelines to Farm Management
We're looking for someone with 1-3 years of mechanical experience, preferably in diesel mechanics. Certification from a trade or technical school is a plus. You should have knowledge of electrical, air, and hydraulic systems, as well as the ability to diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate maintenance work.
