School Bus Aide - Richmond

Job Description:

Student Transit is looking for caring, dependable School Bus Aides to assist in transporting students safely to and from school. If you enjoy working with children and want a rewarding part-time position that follows the school calendar, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do

• Assist students while boarding and exiting the school bus.
• Help ensure students remain safe and secure during transportation.
• Assist students with seat belts, safety restraints, or wheelchair lifts when needed.
• Support the driver by helping maintain a calm, safe environment.
• Assist during emergency evacuations if necessary.
• Help keep the bus clean and safe.
• Work closely with drivers, school staff, and parents to provide excellent student care.

Schedule & Benefits

• Part-time
• Approximately 3–6 hours per day
• Monday-Friday
• Follows the school calendar (180 school days)
• No evenings, weekends, or major holidays
• Paid training

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to pass a background check amd drug screen
• Comfortable working with children, including students with special needs.
• Good communication skills and a positive, patient attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and assist students when needed.
• Childcare or caregiving experience is a plus but not required.
