What are the responsibilities and job description for the BOM/BOP Process Engineer position at SODECIA NORTH AMERICA?
We are looking for a highly motivated BOM / BOP Process Engineer to join our growing team and support advanced ladder frame assembly programs from prototype through mass production.
This role is critical in connecting Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain, ensuring product structures, processes, and systems are fully aligned for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
BOM Ownership & Governance
- Develop and maintain EBOM to MBOM transformation
- Ensure accuracy of part numbers, revisions, and effectivity in PLM / ERP systems
- Manage engineering changes and implementation timing
BOP / Manufacturing Process
- Define and optimize manufacturing routing and assembly sequence
- Support line balancing, takt time, and capacity planning
- Improve production flow and manufacturing readiness
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Purchasing, and Operations
- Support launches, prototypes, and serial production
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Systems & Data Management
- Maintain structured data integrity across systems
- Generate reports and KPIs related to BOM/BOP performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- Experience in automotive manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of BOM / BOP / PLM / ERP
- Experience with ladder frame, chassis, or structural assemblies preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- APQP / Launch experience is a plus
