What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding TikTok Shop Operator (US-Based) position at SODA?
We’re launching a new consumer brand built for TikTok-native commerce and creator-led growth, and we’re looking for a U.S.-based operator to help build the U.S. side of the business from the ground up.
This is not a generic assistant role, and it’s not a pure content creator job. It’s a hands-on operating role for someone who is reliable, commercially sharp, highly organized, and comfortable helping run a fast-moving brand at launch.
You’ll work directly with our team across TikTok Shop setup, operational workflows, creator/affiliate coordination, launch execution, and ongoing account management. For the right person, this could grow into a much bigger role over time.
- Helping set up and run the U.S. side of a TikTok Shop business
- Supporting day-to-day seller account operations, approvals, settings, and account health
- Acting as a dependable U.S.-based operational point person as the brand launches and scales
- Coordinating with the founder on creator seeding, product launches, and TikTok Shop workflows
- Assisting with light admin, reporting, and basic operational oversight
- Helping keep things organized, responsive, and moving quickly
This is not a full-time creator role, but it’s a big plus if you:
- understand what makes short-form content work
- have strong instincts for TikTok-native hooks and formats
- are comfortable being on camera when needed
- can help test simple, repeatable content ideas for product launches
You do not need to be an influencer. But being comfortable around content is a real advantage.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- based in the United States
- mature, dependable, and highly responsive
- detail-oriented and good with sensitive operational responsibilities
- comfortable working directly with a founder in a startup-style environment
- interested in consumer brands, TikTok Shop, creator commerce, or e-commerce operations
- looking for something long-term, not just a quick side gig
- Experience with TikTok Shop, e-commerce operations, affiliate/creator programs, Shopify, marketplace ops, or similar
- Experience working with founders, early-stage brands, or lean teams
- Good judgment, strong communication, and high discretion
- Comfortable on camera and understands what performs on TikTok
- Able to balance both structure and speed
- you’re mainly looking for a general VA role
- your background is mostly junior social media support
- you’re primarily a content creator/influencer and not interested in operational responsibility
- you want something very passive or loosely defined
- you’re flaky, slow to respond, or not comfortable handling real responsibility
Monthly retainer: $300–$500
Plus a meaningful share of net profit from the TikTok Shop business
Please share:
- A short note about your background
- Any relevant experience with TikTok Shop, e-commerce operations, creator/affiliate programs, or marketplace accounts
- Why this role interests you
- Your location and current availability
- Your LinkedIn profile and any relevant examples of brands, shops, or projects you’ve worked on
We care most about credibility, reliability, discretion, and execution quality.
Salary : $300 - $500
