What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation position at Society of the Transfiguration?
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Transports Sisters or Oblates to scheduled appointments, shopping centers, vacation destinations, or activities.
- Performs personal shopping errands for Sisters.
- Process shopping receipts as directed.
- Verifies and maintains all transportation appointments.
- Communicates with Sisters and nurses regarding appointment times or conflicts with scheduling.
- Reports any safety concerns or other issues to the Director of Nursing, designee, or Maintenance Supervisor.
- Informs maintenance via work order of all concerns regarding maintenance/safety of vehicles used.
- Replaces gasoline in vehicles per usage.
- Promotes team environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrates skill in effective performance of duties independently, with flexibility and personal integrity.
- Clearly communicates to Sisters and Oblates with respect and need for understanding.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Good driving record required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift greater than 15 pounds at times with or without assistance.
- Must be able to turn, stoop, bend, and twist while applying proper body mechanics.
- May be seated and driving in vehicle for prolonged periods of time.
- Possible exposure to bodily fluids and infectious environments.
Salary : $16 - $18
