This is a hybrid role based out of our Chicago/O’Hare Area office, with an expectation of being onsite three days per week. Applicants must reside within a 100-mile radius of the Chicago, IL office to be considered.Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Technical Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable Salesforce solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices. This role requires a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, strong technical skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.



Key Responsibilities


Technical Architecture Design

  • Develop and enforce architectural standards and governance to ensure the integrity and scalability of Salesforce implementations. Technology 

  • Provide technical mentorship to team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

  • Design and implement Salesforce solutions that align with business needs and industry best practices.

  • Conduct solution and code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

  • Stay current with the latest Salesforce features, technologies, and industry trends to continuously improve the platform.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Salesforce implementations.

  • Develop, document, and maintain operational processes and procedures related to Salesforce

  • Define and manage user roles and permissions to ensure that only authorized personnel have access to sensitive data

  • Review, design and implement security measures such as encryption and secure access protocols to protect data from unauthorized access and breaches.

  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data by implementing data validation rules and regular data audits

  • Develop, document, and maintain data dictionary


 

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather technical requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.

  • Collaborate with the DevOps team for data migration projects and/or tasks to ensure data integrity in Salesforce for all project deployments.



  • Collaborate with the DevOps team for the integration of Salesforce with other business systems and third-party applications.



  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate Salesforce-related projects and enhancements.

  • Support the integration of Salesforce with other systems and workflows, working closely with the Salesforce Manager and IT team.

  • Facilitate user training sessions and develop documentation to support system adoption and proficiency.

  • Strong communication on every request, collaboration with Salesforce Manager to provide transparent communication regarding priorities and timelines to other teams once agreed within the Technology Innovation group.

  • Follow best practices for Salesforce implementation, including documentation.


 

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay up-to-date on new Salesforce features and functionalities to identify (and, when agreed with Salesforce Manager, implement) opportunities to improve existing processes. Recommend specific and detailed enhancements aligned with organizational needs for future improvement opportunities.

  • Identify (and where applicable, implement) specific “level one” changes required to support priority requests. Work with Salesforce Manager for “level two” or higher complexity changes.

  • Participate in testing and quality assurance processes to ensure smooth implementation of updates and changes.

System Administration & Support

  • Manage and perform day-to-day Salesforce administrative tasks, including user setup, profile creation, role assignment, and system maintenance.

  • Provide end-user support, including troubleshooting issues and responding to user inquiries in a timely manner. Triage incoming requests and work with Salesforce Manager to prioritize, and to coordinate with other supporting teams as needed.

  • Maintain data integrity by managing data imports, exports, and updates using Salesforce tools.

  • Create and update custom fields, page layouts, validation rules, workflows, and reports.

  • Create and maintain users, roles, profiles, security settings.

  • Ensure uptime for Salesforce powered applications by facilitating off hours support requests from the DevOps team on and as needed basis.


 

Requirements and QualificationsEducation:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Certifications:

  • Relevant Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, Salesforce Certified System Architect) are highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Salesforce administration or a similar role.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce features such as custom objects, workflows, process automation, and reporting.

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Familiarity with data management best practices is a plus.


 

Preferred QualificationsMethodologies:

  • Experience with Agile or other project management methodologies.


 


 

Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
