Job Description:
Shriners Children's Philadelphia seeks a full-time board-eligible/certified Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join a collaborative, mission-driven team of three supporting a specialized orthopedic surgical program. The role covers a focused case mix, primarily spine, hand, and lower extremity procedures, with some plastics and urology, in a pediatric population often with complex conditions. Responsibilities span the perioperative continuum, including pre-op coordination with advanced practice nurses, management of complex airways, and occasional ICU backup. Strong regional anesthesia and acute pain management skills are essential.
The practice follows an MD-CRNA care model, with supervision of up to two CRNAs, across three ORs and six pre-op/PACU bays. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., with one weekly flex day for admin or research. Call is shared 1:3, taken from home, with no emergent overnight cases, supporting work-life balance. Optional research and international mission opportunities are available. Compensation ranges from $494,936-$635,000, based on experience and equity.
