COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. This is not a benefits eligible position.
Responsibilities
The Information Security and Risk (ISR) Intern will work for the ISR heads in the Americas region supporting a variety of functions, including Data Loss Prevention, Vulnerability Management, Application Security, and Third-Party Risk Management. Responsibilities
- Work with multiple ISR teams to support the SG Americas cybersecurity program
- Support data protection and vulnerability management initiatives and remediation activities
- Engage with stakeholders in IT and Risk departments to ensure cybersecurity controls are implemented and properly monitored
- Produce and publish metrics and reports for key stakeholders (e.g., CISO, CIO, CTO, COO)
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI capabilities to improve existing processes
Profile required
- Understanding of HTTP, web programming, scripting and relational databases
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity and operational risk standards, frameworks and best practices (e.g. NIST CSF, OWASP, ITIL, CoBIT, etc)
- Practical experience utilizing AI tools and LLM’s is highly valued
- Good analytical and communication skills (written and oral)
- Ability to do independent research and summarize findings
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where organizational skills are essential
- Experience with MS Office tools (e.g., Excel, Powerpoint, Word, PowerBI)
- Excellent collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or relevant technical field with some exposure to cybersecurity
- Fundamental understanding of communications technologies: email, FTP, Web
- Cybersecurity, Risk, or IT certifications a plus
