San Diego, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 4/15/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 6/15/2026

Interested in beer production? Like working with machinery? Enjoy being part of a team? This might be a great fit for you.

As a Packaging Specialist, you’ll help run and maintain our packaging equipment while supporting daily production goals and building your skills in the industry. This is a full-time role and an important part of our production team.

In this position, you’ll follow established SOPs, troubleshoot issues as they come up, and help keep things running smoothly. We’re looking for someone who can think on their feet, solve problems, works well with others while simultaneously learning about the intricacies of the industry. You’ll work closely with our Cellar and QA/QC teams to make sure everything meets our quality standards and stays on track. This role reports directly to the Packaging Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Packaging & Canning

  • Run and troubleshoot our canning line (Pneuman Scale Angelus 6-head in-line filler)
  • Load and unload cans and pallets using the Ska-Fab DePalletizer
  • Palletize finished product for distribution
  • Keep the packaging area clean, organized, and running smoothly
  • Track production numbers and complete shift reports

Kegging

  • Clean kegs using a Premier Stainless keg washer
  • Fill kegs manually from the brite tank or canning line
  • Help maintain and troubleshoot packaging equipment
  • Stay on top of preventative maintenance and scheduled equipment upkeep

Warehouse & Support

  • Help keep the warehouse organized
  • Build orders and help load distribution trucks
  • Assist with inventory management

What We’re Looking For

  • A team player who communicates well and helps keep production on track
  • Comfortable working with tools, machinery, and hands-on tasks
  • Someone who can troubleshoot mechanical or basic electrical issues
  • Self-motivated and able to take initiative and follow through
  • Able to work safely in a wet, non-climate-controlled environment around chemicals and varying temperatures
  • Reliable availability for 8-hour shifts, including weekends when needed
  • Flexible and open to overtime based on production needs
  • Comfortable operating a forklift (or willing to learn)
  • Valid California driver’s license
  • A genuine interest in craft beer, with a desire to learn more about our beers and process

Other Details

  • You should be comfortable reading instructions, tracking materials, and communicating clearly with your team
  • Problem-solving and using good judgment in day-to-day tasks is important

Physical Requirements
This is a very active, hands-on role. You’ll be on your feet most of the day—walking, lifting, climbing, crouching, and moving materials. You’ll regularly handle full kegs (up to 140 lbs), though we provide tools and team support to help. Good vision and awareness are important for working safely and efficiently.

Work Environment
You’ll be working in a brewery setting—so expect some noise, wet floors, temperature changes, and exposure to cleaning chemicals. At times, you’ll work around hot water (200°F ) and spend short periods in cold storage (around 40°F).

Team Culture
We’re looking for someone who works well with others, shows respect to teammates, and contributes to a positive, hardworking environment. We’re a small production team dedicated to achieving our goals while continually learning more about what we’re passionate about—beer.
